The flakes are knitted on DPN’s and consist of only 8 pattern rounds.

Vary the yarn thickness between Spindrift and Ultra to get a different expression and pull beads onto the yarn as an extra decoration for the snowflake.

Yarn:	Spindrift: 100% Pure Shetland Wool from Jamieson’s of Shetland. Yardage: 25g = 105m (115yd). 25g shade 304 White. Ultra: 50% lambswool and 50% pure Shetland wool from Jamieson’s of Shetland. Yardage: 25g = 194m (212yd). 25g shade 304 White. Ultra is a thinner yarn than Spindrift and makes a smaller snowflake, this adds variation to the snow flock.
Needles:	One set of double pointed needles (DPNs) 2mm (US 0).
Tension:	Spindrift: 10×10 cm = 33st and 53 rows stocking stitch.
