Princess on the Pea – Wristwarmer

The fairytale about the Princess on the Pea has given me the idea for these wristwarmers.

Pleats and patterns resembles the mattresses and the

eider-down beds and of course there is a Pea at the bottom

of the pile, which the Princess could definitely feel!

Spindrift, 100% Pure Shetland Wool from Jamieson’s of Shetland.

Shades:

25g shade 122 Granite (GR).

25g shade 315 Heron (HE).

25g shade 127 Pebble (PE).

25g shade 123 Oxford (OX).

25g shade 103 Sholmit (SHO).

25g shade 102 Shaela (SHA).

1 bundle shade 259 Leprechaun (LE).

Needles:

One set of 5 double pointed needles (DPNs) 3mm (US 2.5).

One double-pointed needle size 2mm (US 0) for knitting the pleats.

Tension:

10×10 cm = 26 sts and 38 rows on 3mm (US 2.5) in stocking stitch.
