Ducklings

The fairy tale about The Ugly Duckling has given

inspiration to these little ducklings, one of them is

of course ”The Ugly”.

Height: Approximately 6cm.

Weight without filling: Approximately 2.5g.

Yarn:

Spindrift, 100% Pure Shetland Wool from Jamieson’s of Shetland.

Shades:

25g shade 179 Buttermilk (BM).

25g shade 182 Buttercup (BC).

25g shade 119 Mooskit/Sholmit (MS) – for the Ugly Duckling.

25g shade 478 Amber (AM) – beak and feets.

1 bundle shade 999 black (BL) – eyes.

1 bundle shade 104 Natural White (NW) – eyes.

1 bundle shade 123 Oxford (OX) – beak and feets for the Ugly D.

Needles:

Double pointed needles (DPNs) 2mm (US 0).

DPNs 2.5 mm (US1.5).

Tension:

10×10 cm = 29 st and 45 rows stocking stitch on 2.5mm (US1.5).

Other materials (not included):

Filling for the ducklings: Fiber filling or sponge material cut in small pieces or waste yarn.
