Booties

Babys first booties must be knitted!

The small booties are worked in garter stitch.

Starting from the top with a ribbing that is worked in

the round on DPNs, after which the shoe itself is knitted

back and forth on needles, it has a pleat and is finished

at the sole.

There are 2 shades in the kit, for 2 pairs of booties and

there are two versions to choose from for the shaft.

Size:

The shoe length is 7 (8) 9 (10) cm.

this fits with premature (0-3) 3-6 (6-12) months.

Yarn:

Spindrift, 100% Pure Shetland Wool from Jamieson’s of Shetland.

Yardage: 25g = 105m (115yd).

Shades:

25g farve 140 Rye.

25g farve 122 Granite.

or

25g shade 106 Mooskit.

25g shade 127 Pebble.

or

25g farve 183 Sand.

25g farve 153 Wild Violet.

Needles:

One set of 5 double pointed needles (DPNs) 2.5mm (US 1.5).

One DPN 2mm (US 0) for knitting the pleat.

Tension:

10×10 cm = 27sts and 54 rows garter stitch on 2.5mm (US 1.5).
