“Koshitsu” needles are made from specially selected Japanese high-quality Moso and Madake bamboo.
It is characterized by the apparent density of the needles, the glossy surface, and the slippery feel which makes the yarn glide easily. The Koshitsu needles are very light, flexible and feel warm in the fingers.

The needles undergo a special Koshitsu process, where the wood achieves a smoother surface and longer lasting durability trough a high temperature, high pressure treatment and a natural plant-based wax. It makes the bamboo stronger and gives the needle a hard, smooth and very durable surface.

The manufacturing techniques uses and supports the natural qualities of bamboo; as flexibility and a very smooth wood fiber structure. The process is completely unique and developed by the family company behind Seeknit – Kinki Amibari, through their more than 100 years of history with the production of needles in bamboo.
To make products from a natural material, such as bamboo, skilled craftsmen and several time-consuming processes and steps are required. The traditional manufacturing method and expertise are inherited from craftsman to craftsman, while new technologies are used without compromising on the high-quality requirements.

Koshitsu needles are a luxury product of the finest quality.
