Our vision is to give you a complete knitting experience. For us, knitting is about selfcare and giving yourself a moment of true joy and well-being in a busy everyday life. We have put a lot of thought and detail into both products, materials and packaging. The yarn is made from 100% Shetland wool at the spinning mill Jamieson’s of Shetland, a quality-conscious family business.
Their way of keeping sheep and their special techniques for spinning the wool, ensures the best quality. The sheep lives in the wild with limited human contact and all the steps in processing the wool take place under the same roof in the spinning mill.
We sell the yarn in 25g balls and because the wool is washed after dyeing, it leaves you with a delicious and soft experience while knitting. The yarn is available in over 200 shades inspired by the beautiful Shetland nature. The range includes both solid-coloured yarns and the special melange yarns, which are composed by several shades of wool for a very unique play of colour.
A box of selfcare
All our kits comes in a unique box, locally produced by a danish design business made from climate-compensated paper. The box can stand on your table or by your favorit knitting-chair for you to enjoy the beautiful colors until you decide to start the project. Then the box can be used as an alternative knitting bowl by pulling the yarn up and through the lid, holding it all in place. Our kits are also great gifts for someone you care about, someone you want to spoil or for the hostess instead of flowers.
